Quiet garden area on the edge of the village, no through traffic. Play meadow of 2000 square meters adjacent to holiday home Keysersnest. Within walking and cycling distance of restaurants and cafes. Working mill and mill farm at 250 meters, with good restaurant / bistro and very large terrace with playground. Mill and Flandriens bicycle museum.
Department stores in the village: Lidl, OKay , Carrefour (Carrefour also open Sunday morning!), this next to the local traders, village just big enough to have everything. Market on Monday and Friday farmer's market on the central marketplace, to be combined with the apero!
Gistel is located at bicycle junction 63 and the old railway bed can be followed on foot or by bicycle to Ostend or in the other direction to Torhout. You can park in the driveway or in the street in front of the house, there is always enough space. In the center of the village you can take the bus to Ostend (see timetables on "de lijn"). Taxi to Ostend about 35 euros, one way. Gistel center parking disc required.

This was a great house , spacious , with everything you could want in an air bnb. Yves thought of all of the extras. The kitchen is very well stocked. The dishwasher and washing machine ran great. Yves was so helpful to provide us with information about the things to see around gistel. This is a great house for a family. Large yard and places for the kids to play. Game area in garage. Lots of plates and glasses and utensils which is not always the case in many bnbs. We would love to come back to this location for a longer term stay. It was so great to see this area of Belgium.

We had a wonderful stay here. Very quiet residential area. The house was nice and cozy, lovely big garden with bbq, sauna, swing etc. Fully equipped with clear instructions on how to use the equipments in various languages. We travelled with a baby - there is baby cot, baby chair, toys, toddler garden furnitures available. Importantly, Yves was a great host, provided us with plenty of local advice and was always available for any queries. Overall, a really pleasant stay and highly recommended.
Quiet neighborhood on the edge of the village. At 250 meters mill site with restaurant, children's playground and large terrace and working mill (usually on Sundays). It is best to make a reservation for the restaurant "de molenhoeve".
Free car parking in the driveway or in the street.Always space, quiet neighborhood. Bus stop with direct line to Bruges or Ostend at 500 meters.
